Interior Basin Design

I have always loved the beautiful decor of bathrooms. I know at this age, where we don't seem to own our own bathroom, it is not as important, but these designs are so beautiful, and when walking past a shop full of these basins, both in Barcelona and in London, I just had to research into it more. And I'm sure you will agree how pleasant they are to look at. But what I like, especially about the interior of houses, is the modernity of the product generally means the better and the more attractive product.

Berlin Wall

The Berlin Wall really is an emotional place to visit. It is unbelievable to think that the wall was only taken down in 1989, while I was actually alive. Obviously we can look back at WWII only 65 years ago, but to think that you couldn't cross into half of the city that you lived in is very hard to understand. I think the photos displayed above that I took of the last remaining part of the wall show some horrific graffiti, especially the first two photos saying, 'Save Our Planet'.

Bauhaus Dessau

Alyssa Monks

When I first looked at these images, I thought they were photographs, but they are actually painted by hand. The artist, Alyssa Monks takes about 1,000 photos for a small series of paintings using these images to get the paintings as real as possible. I find these paintings absolutely amazing, and so beautiful to look at.

12 Angry Men

The plot of the film is very simple. There are 12 jurors deciding whether or not a boy has killed his father. The punishment will be a death sentence. Henry Fonda is magnificent. He plays an architect who at first is the only juror to claim the boy of being 'not guilty' to the 11 others 'guilty'. Throughout the film, he convinces the other 11 jurors of the boy's innocence. He takes a lot of abuse from them along the way and the plot is mesmerising.

Bar two very minor scenes, the entire film takes place in one room. Apart from two of the jurors exchanging names at the end, there are also no names used in the film. It is in black and white and the idea of the film is simple, 12 jurors, all men, discuss a court case.

It is an extraordinarily powerful film.
